How much does a '05 Juicy 7 weigh?

Trying to figure ways to shed weight from my bike, can't find any weight info on my original J7 brakes, I suspect they're a LOT heavier than some current models.

Anybody have a digital scale and a J7 caliper they can weigh?

yes, they are heavy. the heaviest part of a disc brake system (and the one no one really considers) is the fluid in the several yards of tubing, but with that said, the calipers and handles are pretty beefy, too.

they're in the 330 ballpark, each (posted, but not sure if that's the dry weight or with the fluid).

They're 15g or so heavier per brake than the current model of Juicy 7. The new lever was shaved down a bit. Otherwise it's still the same.

Several yards? I'd say 2 yards is already very long. There's not that much fluid volume in the brake.

Without the rotor, caliper bolts, or adapter, it should be around 280g.
