How to clamp on XTR M975 levers?

    Hey:

I've got XTR M975 levers and a Ritchey WCS carbon riser bar. Is there a trick to getting these levers to tighten on the bar? It's almost like I need a shim of some kind.

    Any thoughts?

You shouldn't need a shim. I have XT M770 levers also on a Ritchey WCS Carbon rizer and they fit without any problems.
Tighten the levers to a max torque of 5Nm. Ritchey have a nice torque key (preset a 5Nm) for this if you don't have a torque wrench.

I've got a set on race face carbon bars. You just need to snug those levers down tight enough that they don't move while riding but do if you crash. I originally thought the same thing as the OP.
