How bad could these $10 Elixir pads be?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ORGANIC-PADS-AVI...item27b9a23eb0

I love the logo: CRKLAS .... hmmm, are legit CLARKS pads made in China?

meh. I found official Avid pads for $13.

Who makes the best organic pads for the Elixirs?

    thanks.

I bought similar pads for my Formula oro puro from ebay 3 sets of pad for the price of one OEM, then I installed them on my bike and the term "you get what you paid for" and "the cheap came out expensive" would explain my experience.

The good news for you is Elixir OEM pads is loud and jerky anyways at least it is on my CR, so how bad can that be?

    Wink Crklas

These are still around, I found the CRKLAS brand when looking for Magura Louise pads on ebay. Anyone tried them?

Could not find anything for my other brakes though, DIVA or YEAHS.

For cheap pads, I've had good luck with the Stintered pads from discobrakes.com

    DiscoBrakes.Com :: Shop :: Disc Pads :: Avid :: Elixir :: OBE-DA04TG

4 sets for $40 shipped. The get shipped from Ohio so shipping is pretty fast.

+1 on these pads. I just replaced my stock organics with these on a set of XO brakes. Big difference. Quiet with no gobble.
It's such a fine line between idiocy and genius.

I bought 2 sets for my hopes from disco, seem to be OK so far, especially for the price!

That could be applied to pretty much everything. Some cheap products are good, some are junk. Do your research then make a decision.

I've had good luck with Disco Brake pads. I order 4 pairs at a time.

I've liked the Jagwire Pads on my BB7's by far the best... have been using the Disco Brakes brand for a while now too and they stop fine, just the plate is molded slightly off and have had a few issues with the spring not staying put during install, once in no issues.

not the Elixers but pretty darn close to the same thing
Going to try and bring Trail Tire TV back. go take a look... http://trailtiretv.blogspot.com/
