Hope V2 with regular saw floating rotors

    Hi,

I realize the braking track on the V2 is much bigger than the rest of the Hope line up. What are the effects other than irregular pad wear if the V2 was used with the regular saw floating rotors?

    Thanks,

    ming

I would imagine a narrow disc could make a track inside the pad, which could catch the discs edges. Just a guess though.

I don't think they fit as the rivots of the regular floating rotors sit further out and catch the piston body. You can get away with using regular rotors with a narrower track. I did this with my old Hope Minis (pre mono). But I wouldn't advise it. Not sure if it contributed to my seized pistons or not.

Thanks for the replies. I cleared things up with the seller. I thought he had a set of X2s, but he was sure he had a set of V2s.

In the end, he found out they are X2s, so looks like i'll be passing on them and get a new set instead. Most of the bolts on his brakes are all seized up and I don't have that good of a feeling from him.
