Hope Mono Mini retaining pin stuck

Just like the title says... the retaining pin is definitely not sliding out, with any ease anyway. I've put some serious "pull" on it too, nothing. Any suggestions? Should I try and hammer it out?

Only if you want to buy a new caliper!

Personally I'd try a small amount of WD40 on the thread of the pin, let it soak for a couple of minutes and try again. Any excess force is not going to be overly good I would think on the pin.

Here is a link to an exploded view. There is an o ring as well as a pin to deal with. It shows no threads to deal with. Light lube and pin punch should do to push it out.

    Got it!

In case someone else stumbles to this thread. I basically just pushed on the pin from the opposite side and while doing so, used a small flat head screwdriver and pried the pin loose eventually popping the o-ring out. Hope replacement pads include a new retaining pin, so I wasn't worried about damaging the old one. Thanks for the replies.
