    hope mono brake lever

decided to rebuild my mono mini brakes, calipers and levers because, as far as I know they have never been done and because the pistons were not coming out evenly anymore. Going to put braided (goodridge) hose while I'm at it.

anyway, got the calipers done and started on the levers.
once you get the lever off and the first sprung clip/washer thingy there's a rubber cover. under this gasket there's a circlip ... mine seems to be welded in place with rust. I put penetrating oil in, let it rest and next try I broke both ends off (where the holes are)
anybody have any idea how to get the rest out?

Shouldn't need to. Hope brakes are great for their rebuildability and parts. My advice would be to contact Hope and talk to them. Their customer support is fantastic and they still offer parts for their old stuff.

    just an update.
took the lever to a mechanical shop. They couldn't get the last piece of the circlip out either. So bought another second hand lever. Was attached to a M4 caliper
