Hope Mini vs Haynes 9 Carbon

I just aquired a Giant Trance which i am building up as a 4x and DS bike. The bike came with a set of Hope Mini Dics.

I have a set of Haynes 9 brakes with carbon lever. The rotors are the same size.

I have found the the hopes tend to just lock up through the corner and seem to be quite noisy. I am slightly worried about using a carbon lever on a DS / 4x bike.

What do ya think? Which would you go with?

Hayes suck. If you think those Minis lock up easily, the Hayes have even less modulation. And the build quality is crap.

If your Minis are noisey, get the frame and fork tabs faced then make sure (like really sure) that the calipers are aligned properly over the rotors. If they've been ran for a while out of alignment you may find that the pads have worn unevenly. If you're finding the brake too grabby, you could try adjusting the lever in so that it sits closer to the bar. Even just a half turn on the adjuster barrel can make a noticable difference to the feel of the brake.
