    Hope Brake Compatibility

Just curious about the newer Hope brake levers. Are they compatibile with the older version systems? Same fittings? When I say older, I mean the silver lever with black body, with the reservoir on top.

No, they are different and non-compatiable.

Yes. The black Mini master, the 07-08 silver Mini master, and the new Tech levers are compatible. The Tech is also being used on Moto applications now.

Any open-system Hope components are interchangeable. There are some subtleties in difference with the fittings, like where early (O2 or C2) brakes used a 6mm hose, but for the most part it's a non-issue. Do you mean that old? Or are you referring to the Mini lever? What exactly are you wanting to do?

I have various Hope bits and pieces lying around. I have an old Hope Mini- the precursor to the Hope Min Mono I believe. It's the one with the silver caliper. And from what I can tell the lever looks the same.

i do have a set of new Tech Levers. Front Tech V2 with 5mm goodridge hose.
Rear Hope Mini (not Mono) with 6mm brake hose. Works Fine.

    Good to know.

I ask as I got my hands on some Hope brakes through my work. And we where doing clean out when the parts where found in a box. He asked if I wanted them and I said sure. And got the stuff for free. Needs a bit of work and good to go.

Though one of the caliper will present a bit of a challenge. It's one of the old C2's and is missing a magnet on one of the pistons.
