hope someone can help. i have a set of hfx9 brakes and i cant get the pistons to retract. even when walking them back in, the inner piston will not bottom out. the brake stays locked up, cannot budge the lever. the brakes are in great shape, but they havent been used in a while. any ideas?

It's possible that the system is overfilled. Open the bleed port and try to push the pistons back.

I forgot about that. Anytime I hear about HFX9's- I always think its internal problems.

I dont even know how mine have survived 2 years of abuse, 1 bleed, many new pads, and dangerboy levers- but still work. I think I lucked out

If that doesn't work you can pick up a piston rebuild kit and make them like new again. This all depends on how old they are and if that is the issue. I had to rebuild mine after two solid years of use with a few pad changes and one bleed in there somewhere.
