New question here. Help w/ replacement rotors for Avid Mechs

I've got a bent front rotor on my Avid's. I tried to straighten it (per Mike T's guide in the FAQ section) but it still rubs.

My question is what is a good alternative to Avid rotors for Avid mechanical discs? I don't understand why Avid replacement rotors are so expensive (~$40 at most retailers) when you can buy non-name brand replacement rotors for around $10-20 each. I'm a bit apprehensive about using a non-name brand like Aztec, can I use Shimano XT (older IS 6-bolt pattern), or am I doomed to use only Avids?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

In theory, any rotor will work...

...just pay attention to the brake track width. It appears that this *might* have been an issue with the old XT rotors, but I'm not absolutely sure.

(This assumes you have the v2 Avid calipers and the 160mm rotors. If you've got the v.1 calipers and 165mm rotors, your choices are going to be pretty limited.)
