help pick: 04 Louise or 03 HFX Mag

For a 165 pound xc rider. Main concerns are reliability, weight and power, but not in that order. I've had so many issues with my Hayes and would not be against the 04 Julies but wanted to know if the Julies had enough power and modulation for a rider who did fast/hard but shorter downhills.

Nashbar has some good prices and a 10% off coupon for the Julies.

I haven't tried the Julies but Louise would fit the bill perfectly. Not necessarily stronger than Hayes, but much better modulation and the best customer service in the biz.

Try contacting Charles at hammerhead or Larry at Mtn High via email. Even with the 10% off coupon I bet they can get you a better deal.
