    hayes stroker sticking

got a buddy who has hayes strokers.

yesterday we rode. his front brake would stick and not release unless he pushed the lever back out.

is this problem in the caliper for in to brake lever?

    just need a little guidance.

    thanks.

Problem in the lever. Have it rebuilt/regreased.... I had one of the first sets off the production line a few years back and that was the issue. Also come to find out it was a common one also.

I had one of the earlier sets as well, and got the same issue. I gave Hayes a call (mail), and got a fixkit right away.

    Great service!

    Good job! Thanks Hayes!

My plungers got stuck in both brake levers (Hayes Stroker Carbon). My LBS called Hayes about the problem for me, and they quickly sent out new upgrade plungers under warranty. The original plungers lasted at least 3 years, I'm very happy with their product and the excellent customer service. Great brakes, IMHO.
