My front rotor (8") has enough run out to it that it hits the pad in the caliper in one section. It is bad enough that it drags the wheel to a stop. Maybe 1/4" of run out. Can you bend it back while still mounted to the hub ? Can it be bent back at all ? Never attempted this.
It's normal to have to true the rotors occationally

Who knows why the rotars warp. Heat cycles, or bending the rotor against something. Many things can bend the rotors.
Just take a minute and bend them true so they spin with out rubbing with properly adjusted brakes with your hand with a glove on it (to keep the oils from you hand potentially fouling the pads). I've heard some people use a crescent wrench, maybe for extreme cases of distortion. I've never found tools necessary to true rotors.
Appreciate the feed back. I was able to get it back pretty close to tracking straight. Then I performed a pad alignment and it performs & looks good. I will give it a test this week.
