Hayes Mag XC or 9XC
I run some Hayes HFX9 (04) and I have run in some major issues with the rear one last week. They worked perfectly for over 2 years. After spending too much time trying to fix them I decided that I am going to buy a new set.
What is the difference between the Hayes Mag XC and 9 XC?
Are the Mag's worth the extra $$$?

Meh.

Mags are definitely worth the extra cash. The Mags and Nines share the same caliper, the difference is in the master cylinder. The Mag uses a higher quality master cylinder, it seems to be less problematic. Added bonus is that the Mags aren't so on/off touchy-feely, they actually have modulation (something the Nines severely lacked).

I have issues with a leaky caliper on my rear Nine.
Never had any probs with the master cylinder.
