    hayes hfx 9

Hi to all, I just want to know if this is normal because I can see little bit of fluid on the bleeder cap on the lever and the rod with c-ring washer going to the master cylinder is a bit wet. I just received my brakes for rebleeding and installed it recently but it works fine. The lever play is ok and the brakes stops as i wanted. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any fluid around mine.

Try drying it off real well and see if the fluid returns.

Sometimes after hydraulic disc brakes are serviced, there may be some residual fluid left over. Give them a good cleaning (rubbing alcohol works great here for cleaning DOT 4 fluid). Chances are you won't see any more fluid.

    Yup not uncommon to have...

a little residual fluid in the areas you describe after a bleed. Clean it up and keep an eye on it for a couple of rides. If the fluid returns then you may have a problem. If not you'll be fine.
