    Hayes disc upgrade/ adapters?

I want to equip my (2000) TREK 8000LT with the new Hayes Carbon Stroker ,front and rear. What adapters do I need? I have Judy Race Rock Shox (2000). I was also wondering what rotor size I should get. Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated.

What size rotors you get will determine what adaptors you need. Since its a 2000, you need to check if the frame has 51mm IS or 22mm hayes direct mounts. The Judy has 51mm IS mounts so you would need http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=23538 if you want to run a 6" rotor. Note a 5" rear adaptor will become 6" front, 6"rear will become 7" front and so on due to the front IS mount being 20mm further from hub than rear.

If the rear is a 22mm mount and you don't want to run a set of old school hayes discs then you will need on the adapters from http://www.torontocycles.com/ . If you use the B&S adapter at the bottom of the page I think you can use a 160mm rotor on the back by using a 160mm front adapter and mounting it to the back. I haven't done this myself but that is what I would try in your position.
