Upset Hayes Comp lever play - help!

I bought a Bullit that came with Hayes Comp hydros. They work great, however, there is a lot of lateral play in the levers. They rattle like a mo fo while riding and it's driving me nuts. Any way to tighten these babies up?? I can't find a manual online or on Hayes site. Thanks in advance!

I don't know but try this page for plenty of tech papers, maybe you could find what you want.

I used to have the same problem and this is what I did. I carefully removed the levers just enough to see the screw hole and inserted a very thin rubber washer in between the lever and the body to keep the levers from rattling.

Thanks guys. I thought about the washer thing but didn't know if they could be tightened somehow. Well, guess I'll give a shot and see what happens.

    Peace
