I'm riding a Trek which came with Hayes Carbon Nine brakes. The rear brake caliper is not retracting the pads to the fully open position, thus creating drag on the rotor, and at times it feels like I'm feathering the brakes. I've tried pushing the pads to the fully open position just to have them return back to a semi compressed position or just dragging.
I'm not sure if the brake lever's piston pulls the caliper's piston or is there internal springs that retract the pads back? Are these brakes easily repairable?
Can someone help me? Thanks!
