    Hayes calipers/ Xtr hubs

    Will a hayes disc brake work with an XTR hubset and rotor .

    Yes...

    Yes it will, is it advicable that I don't know, but it will work. I have the almost same setup, but with HFX Comps with XT hubs and rotors. You should probably get the adapter by problem solvers or DT swiss.
    Anything worth doing is worth overdoing...

    Same standard sizing, a few people have run that combo succesfully. You can also get that spiffy new DT swiss adapter and keep the hayes rotor.

    I have hayes HFX Mag brakes, with XTR-M965Hubs, RT-96 Center lock rotors and they work fine

    Thanks, I thought it would work buts its good to know someone else can confirm it. There seems to be a lot of good deals around on xtr hubs these days which is the only reason I would consider this idea

    Same issue here: I have hayes HFX 9 brakes, and I just installed with XTR hubs and Center lock rotors and rotors seems to be fine.

    I heard that this may cause bad brake pads consumption resulting in vibrations and need for an early substitution of brake pads.

    Any hint on that?
