New question here. Hayes 9's for DH/FR

Anyone use them for that? They are coming on a DH bike that I am buying. It is a good bike with good parts, I just think the guy threw those on there because he had them. I was planning on upgrading to the new saints, but am wondering how long the 9's will get me by.
    Thanks for any input.

I had a set of Nine HD's on my Stinky...they were a little temperamental but otherwise they did good, especially when I replaced the semi-metallic pads with full metallic

I had them on my trail bike and they sucked. After upgrading to Formula's I noticed a huge difference. Basically I did an upgrade after riding my buddies avid's and realized how good brakes should feel. Hayes 9 were skittish on trail riding, I couldn't imagine them on a dh course (and i had 180mm rotor up front as well).
