    Hayes 9 question

Hi there, I just picked up a new-to-me used bike (yeah!!), a 2000 Stumpjumper Pro FSR, and it has Hayes disc brakes on it. The levers say 'Hayes Nine' on them, and the calipers simply say 'Hayes'. No other particular markings I see to define exactly what model/year they are.

My question is this, can I simply swap the whole lever assemblies over from right to left? They appear symmetrical, but I wanted to see if anyone knows if there's anything inside that would be unhappy with being turned over. I'm a right=front kind of guy, and am just hoping I don't have to open them up and re-bleed!

    Thanks,
    david.

Yup - if you wanna run them moto go for it.

remove the grips, loosen the clamp bolt and pull em off/swap em.

Have fun on the new (for you) ride.
