New question here. Going IS to Post mount

Hi, im looking at new forks which have are post mount. I currently have an IS front fork-with adaptor and caliper. The brakes are shimano non-series mechanical-so do i need an adaptor to mount my IS brakes onto a PM fork? How much will a shimano adaptor cost? Any help appreciated, Chris

What size is the rotor? If 6", you should be able to just remove the caliper from the adapter, and bolt it to the post mount.

Cheers, it is a 6" rotor so shouldn't have too many problems. Thanks, Chris.
