    Generic brand rotors - opinions?

Anyone have experience with generic-brand (Aztek, Tektro, Formula) disc rotors? Official Magura rotors are stupid expensive for a spare wheelset. Hard to see how much difference there could be if they're made out of approximately the same grade steel and are the same width, but I thought I'd see if there were horror stories first.

I run some off-brand rotors from Jenson on my FXR and they're fine.
People wait for me on the way up. I wait for them on the way down.

My experience is that the generic rotors you mentioned are actually often better quality than the stock OEM rotors. A little thicker and therefore slightly heavier, but finished more nicely and with better run-out.

Magura rotors are Galfer designed anyway, so galfers should work just fine.

I've run Aztek rotors with my Maguras (as well as Hayes, Avid and a no-name). However, not all stainless is the same, and a few riders in our group thought the Aztek rotors wore out faster, and were more prone to being bent. I have not really noticed any difference, and you can't argue with the $.
