    fr. brake sounds horrid

Scott 4.5 Aspect w/ oe Shimano hyd. brakes. Not XT, just some model number. Anyways, bled them and cleaned the caliper pistons, rotors, pads. They work but sound like a damn whale. Made several attempts to silence it by repositioning the caliper without success. Also tried swapping pads (L to R and vice versa). Any ideas?

Check the pads. Odds are the pads somehow got contaminated. You can try hitting the pads with a torch to remove the contaminants; or what I would do is just sand the top layer of the pads off and then clean the pads/rotors with alcohol.
