    Fox 40 caliper mount info

Does anyone have info on the new Fox 40 caliper mounts, or know where I can find it? also, if anyone knows about compatibility with hopes, avids, etc, that'd be great.

i spoke with someone at go-ride that said mono m4(caliper 8) with a 205mm rotor will not work on the fox 40. apparently this is the modification: buy a new #3 caliper(designed for a 180mm rotor) and install/bleed it, then buy a 220mm rotor and mount it on the hub. 220. Oh my. Soooooo.....anyone want to buy a set of brand new Hope mono m4's for $300? pm me!

Just get a 245mm rotor and run the #8 caliper.

Funny, but the 40 we rode at IBike had a "tiny" rotor on it. It sounds like the 40 has IS tabs which basically mimic placing a 40mm adapter between the fork and the caliper. Maybe we had a standard 160mm Hayes caliper adapter mated with a 200mm rotor. Not sure, but that seems to be how the math pans out...

great shot. maybe i'll just bolt on a couple AOL CD's!

i actually just got an as-x frame. so, i had another look at the front hope mono m4 caliper and it's actually a #6. not sure, but looks as though it should fit the 40....please, tell me it will! i was told the #8 will defintely not work unless major mods are done, but please, please tell me a #6 caliper will make the cut!!!!
