    IS there any lever modulation adjustments on these brakes?

    No, the only lever adjustment is the screw which moves the lever in and out (relative to the bar) for reach adjustment. You can vary the lever-throw by removing the wheel/rotor and giving the lever a slight pull. This will move the pistons/pads closer to the rotor and will make the lever-throw very short.
