    elixir questions.

I'm getting new avid elixir cr's tomorry and I have a question. Assuming I'll have to trim down the lines and bleed them a little; i remember reading somewher that on these brakes, when bleeding, the pad contact adjuster should be turned either all the way clockwise or all the way counterclockwise, but I disrememer which. So is this true, and if so, which is it? thanks. Also, do they come stock with metallic or organic pads? I'm, hoping metallic. Thanks.

The sram site has instructions. They come with metallic. They're great brakes!

On this brake... the pad contact has no affect on the reservoir size, therefore no affect on the pad contact. So you can bleed without having to dink with that.

Sorry, your incorrect. Take a look at the vid, or re-read the manual

It's just you. All hydraulic brakes adjust automatically as the pads wear.
