    Elixir on a Pike..need help

    Just up graded to Elixir R's ( i know lots of folks hate em) putting them on my Pike fork, my question is do i need spacers between the adapter and the caliper? it doesnt seem to fit without them. If anyone has a pike, can u snap a pic for me? thanks in advance

    It has nothing to do with what fork you have. Is you pike post mount? Did you get rotors with your brakes?

    yes post mount..and now that im looking at it, the new rotor is 180mm...

    Most Avid brake callipers need the CPS / Tri Align washers between the calliper and the adapter.
    Without them the calliper won't be packed out enough.

    Duct tape iz like teh Force. It has a Lite side and a Dark side and it holdz the Universe together.

    I'm' not sure you can even put a 180mm rotor on a pike? That, you probably don't need a rotor that big - at least not on a pike...

    YUP..the pike has a special adapter and it looks like you need to align washers between the calliper . looks like problem solved, thanks for the assistance.
    And FYI the pike is an AM fork, many people run 180mm or even 203mm on that fork

    And FYI the pike is an AM fork, many people run 180mm or even 203mm on that fork
    I had a pike for years. It's a great fork, it's just not that big. However, I'm sure you can put a 180mm on it - I was thinking 203mm.
