Elixir CR's and pad contact feature question

This is for all the CR owners.

have some R's that I use and like okay, and on another bike I have BB7's. I like how I can make the levers on the BB7's come close to the grip, so that the pads are grabbing much closer to the bar. It's more comfortable and my hands get less tired that way.

On the Elixir R's I have the reach adjustment all the way close to the grip (which is still kinda far out). And no, I don't have small hands so don't bother with that. When I apply the brakes the levers aren't near enough to where I wish they would be.

So does the contact point adjustment on the CR's allow me to dial in my levers the way I've explained I would like to?

    Thanks!

That's what the PCP feature does, adjust the bite point...reach is just the starting point for the reach of your fingers to the lever. Won't quite be as adjustable as a BB7, though.

How much closer to the bars would you guess I could get the bite point compared to the R's? I'm trying to decide if its worth the upgrade $...

Have no idea, wouldn't buy hydraulics without the feature, I'm a lever symmetry freak.

Either you have a gorilla grip or your brakes need bleeding. This shouldn't happen...

I can do it. I can't seem to bleed any more air out of the system.
