    Elixir CR--Lever Piston Stuck

Has anybody ever had a problem with the piston/bladder assembly on the lever getting stuck or not moving freely. Because it's not operating properly, the lever stroke isn't smooth. It's as if it clicks when it's being depressed. This, I take it, is because the push rod fits inside the piston assembly. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I've about had it with the Elixir CRs.

Sounds like you need a M/C rebuild. SRAM has instructions on their site for a M/C tear down - it should take you 15-20mins to do.

The new plastic C-clips SRAM uses on these brakes are quite fragile - keep that in mind before doing any work

These brakes are brand new. Never been used. I shortened the housing and decided to bleed the brakes. The front is fine after the bleed.
