    Elixir 3's keep on semi-locking up

    have you guys experienced elixir 3's locking up? i release some fluid from the pistons to get them working again..its driving me nuts..the pistons dont seem to be retracting fully but when i release some fluid they work like a charm again...

    any tips?

    A really good bleed. Flush lots of DOT fluid through the system.

    Clean and lube the pistons.

    OR

    Remove Avid brakes.
    Sell on ebay.
    Buy Shimano SLX brakeset.
    Instal Shimano brakes.
    Ride and forget about brake problems.
    Duct tape iz like teh Force. It has a Lite side and a Dark side and it holdz the Universe together.

    bummer...was hoping not to go the "buy shimano" route but looks like it maybe the best option..need to save up then..

    i can only find DOT 3 and 4 compatible fluid in the stores here..cant find 5.1...you guys think the dot 3&4 fluid will work?

    Good DOT 4 will be fine.
