El Camino or HFX 9 HD

    Hey everyone.

Im stuck between the el camino and the hfx 9 hd. ive looked up the reviews on this site and the hfx seems to rate higher but people have been saying problems with fade and modulation on the HFX.

in a brake im only looking for decent modulation and control...my longest decent will only be 5 min and i dont drag the brake along 90% of the time.

anyone try both and have an opinion?

    Neither.

If you want Hayes, look at their new stroker line.

If you're on a budget just pick up a set of the 9's. They are getting blown out cheap everwhere now. The 9's aren't the best but they are good for the price.

Yes the HFX 9. You can get a set brand new for $120.
    Look at beyondbikes:

Note. They are only selling the rears (only difference is hose length). So you'd need to cut the hose and re-bleed to mount on the front.

You can get the bling chrome set with carbon levers for $69/wheel:

Use the coupon code "MYST" on the site and save even more.
