    dumb@$$ M525 brake pad Q?

any recommendations? Heck I can't even find pads for them and the owner's manual simply calls them pads with no parts number. Can anyone point me to a good replacement pad recommendation? TIA, Jim

    replacement pads....

    Hey Jim,

Just ordered a set of pads for a buddy of mine who has the BR-M525 brakes. I went to the LBS and he didn't have the M525 pad in stock, but he ordered a M515 pads instead. He told me they were the same, and they were, they fit fine. More research in MTBR archives did conclude that the M515 mechanicals and the M525 use the same pads.

If you want a set of EBC pads for your M525s, contact Larry Mettler at www.mtnhighcyclery.com, I am pretty sure he has some in stock because I just returned two sets 1 week ago.

Also very important is that the pads springs will come with the pads from Shimano, but not with the set you get from EBC.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Kam...

exacly the stuff I needed to know, and I already order stuff from Larry, he's been a big help on parts I can't get here in BC (Canada). That springs note is key too, thanksē.
