drop bar levers and avid mechs...

So, I am going to try out a disc brake on the front of my bike and I am using drop bars. Should I go with the mountain version of the brake and use 287v levers, or go with the road version of the brake and use normal roadie levers?

    Anybody with experience using both?

    Thanks,
    B

I use 287V levers and the mtb Avids on my singlespeed and Ultegra STI levers w/road Avids on the gearie. Both work very well.

The choice depends if you need shifters and if so, what type of shifter you prefer.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
