Does pad need to engage entire disc?

I just installed a set of bb7's and after a couple of rides I was making sure everything was still tight when I noticed the wear pattern didn't cover the whole disc but it does cover at least 3/4's of it... So do I need to adjust or is that the norm?

The entire pad needs to contact the rotor. Can not have the pad hanging over the outside edge or you will have problems as the pads wear.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Thanks mate! Already adjusted and ready to ride.
