    Disc conversion ?

I am swapping from v brakes to disc and am wondering if people just zip tie the Baker hose when installing or do something else

Zip ties are the cheapest option.

A few more options: Alligator Cables-manufacturer of brake and control cables for the bicycle, motorcycle

A couple of other options: Small Parts | Jagwire USA

I used zip ties and clear tubing like this. Looks and works great.

I'm sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm considering a disc conversion and I don't have enough posts to start a thread. In the photo album in my profile (not enough posts to add a photo either) I have a picture of some mounting tabs on my 2000 Specialized Hard Rock. Are these for disc brakes? They seem too close together (about 21mm) but what else would they be for?

    No.

    Fender/Mud-Guard and Pannier Rack.

If it was my bike I'd stick with the v-brake that's currently on it.

Thanks, I think that's good advice. The v-brakes stop the bike pretty well, but obviously with more pressure required at the lever.
