    disc brakes - replacing pads

I am using my Brodie Bruzza more for commuting recently after breaking my arm during a mountain bike course.

Anyway, I am putting approx 400 km a month on the bike and my brake pads are wearing out soooooooo fast !! Are there not some top end brake pads that I can get for these Hayes Mechanical disc brakes ? I don't feel like the LBS is putting on the best they have and they say it's not as necessary to have top end brake pads for commuting.

Try some Hayes Metallic pads. They are the more expensive ones
