    Disc Brake Adapters

    Has anyone tried this product?

    http://www.discbrakeadapters.com/fs_....php?item_id=4

I've wanting to go disc on my old IF but adding mounts and getting it repainted was a bit pricey. So I came across the disc brake adapter thing and was wondering if anyone has tried it? Almost seems to simple and easy to be true. Any opinions?

Dunno about the part you're looking at, but I'm sure considering getting their adaptor that bumps disc size from 160 to 203mm. I bought an adaptor from another maker that positions my caliper too far out (so the pads don't even contact the innermost part of the disc). The adaptor from this site seems to have oval bolt holes, allowing the user to adjust for just this type of problem. Seems well engineered.

    Disk Brake Adaptor

I use this one on my Santa Cruz Tazmon, it works well and I like the fact that some of the stress is off-loaded by the brake boss...
