did Avid move from 185mm to 180mm Rotor sizes?

It looks like avid changed their standard from 185 to 180mm rotors. Is this correct? When did this happen? Have not needed brakes or rotors for a few years so I've not paid attention to this.

    Thanks.

2009-2011. They figured going proprietary rotor size would bolster sales....it FAILED.

Ok, I'm confused. I had a set of BB7 back in 2007 and they were 185mm rotors. I also have 2 set of Elixir5 that I bought in 2011 and again last year that are 185mm.

They recently moved to 180mm. So are you saying that pre-2009 they had 180mm and post-2011 went back to 180mm?

I'm asking because I need a new rotor and all of my adapters are for 185.

Get a 180mm adapter, you'll have more rotor options.

Or just grind your adaptors down 2.5mm, or whatever works.
