    Custom v-brake bosses needed

I need a custom set of v-brake bosses made up. What I need is a set with 1/4" - 3/8" longer threads, or the treads pushed out that much further. If someone knows of a company that can do something like this or if you can do this, please PM me so I can tell you exactly what I need. Thanks all.

Op, your spec for v-brake bosses is incomplete. You need to specify the threading as well as the length of the threaded section.

Fork bosses are usually M8, or M10 fine or course threaded. Frame bosses are usually M10 fine or course threaded.

It might improve your chances if you could tell us what you need them for ie what frame or forks?

M10 x 1.25 threads all else on the bosses would be the same.

So you need bosses made with longer internal threads ?
Why not just cut the bolt down a bit , I might be missing something here

Actually, the external thread (part that threads into the frame or fork) is M10 x 1.25. It appears that there is usually around 11mm of thread length. What I would need is either an additional 1/4" - 3/8" (pending measurement) of additional thread or just unthreaded (whichever would be easier) material added to that part of the brake boss.

Why do you need that extended? are the existing threads in the fork stripped out? Might be easier (and cheaper) to install a heli-coil and then use the standard posts.....

No, the threads aren't stripped at all.
