    Cross (Interrupter) Lever Fit

I want to add interrupter levers to my cross bike with standard 25.4mm clamp drop handlebars. Tektro has some that seem fine for my needs but they only offer them in 24mm and 26mm. This seems to be the norm. Should I go smaller which will give me 1mm of clamping or bigger with shims. I've seen both recommended.

I have some tektro cross tops, work fine with shim from 31.8 to 25.4(26)- little extra space to make up the diff.
Then I put some Salsa's on my GF bike, and her levers are a bit nicer in many respects; ergo drilled grip, NICE finish and works well/tight. They are also shimmed from 31.8 down to 25.4 using the 26 supplied. I was just jealous- they are $29 first look, in the Tektro price range. Same price as my Tektro linear top (interrupter) pulls I'm getting.

    Good luck

went off tangent a bit; to you, one or two laps of Gorilla tape to width should make a good 26- if need.
