Cheap Alternative to DT Swiss Adaptor

Great forum! long time lurker, but finally decided to post because it seems there havent been many questions abt this, and sorry if i was not able to search properly.

im looking to put some 6-bolt 160mm rotors on my bike. the trouble is tht the hubs on my bike have centrelock mechanism.

I came across DT swiss's centrelock to 6bolt adapter, but its 36 bucks each! it seems like a high price. i was wondering if there are any cheap alternatives available which i can look at, or is the price standard and i should go ahead with these? thanks a lot.

There are cheaper ones like the Problem Solvers one (shop can order it through QBP). The PS one is around 20 bucks. Then there's the Alligator adapter that can be found for around 10 bucks.

But I think the DT Swiss one is really nice.

    Welcome, rotomac!

I agree with Will, the Dt is the nicest one.... additionally, Shimano now makes one and Magura has one too (but, IIRC, both are a bit more expensive than the problem solvers)

Rotomac, as the others have suggested, the Problem Solvers is cheaper, but not by much:

    $10 Alligator: http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/158...ck-Adapter.htm

    $19 Problem Solvers: http://aebike.com/page.cfm?PageID=30...ils&sku=BR0380

    $31 DT Swiss: http://aebike.com/page.cfm?PageID=30...ils&sku=HU1345

Alternatively, you could score a pair of LX-level Centerlock rotors off of eBay for $22 each:

Hey thanks a lot folks! Really helpful. Speedub.Nate- Thanks a bunch for the links.

The alligator ones are only for $10- are they as durable as the expensive ones? I understand that it does not come with a lockring, but i have spares. If the alligator ones work, I might just jump on them.

And crisillo, can you tell me if there are any websites retailing the shimano adaptors?

I don't know a particular store that has them. but BTI carries them , so I guess any LBS wth a BTI account can order them

here in Germany you can get them here, for example
