    Changing pads & rotors

Is it recomended that rotors are changed when installing a new set of pads that are a different compound? In my case, I was using the shimano stock (with the old 4 pot XT brakes) and I am switching to the EBC gold pads. Should I change my rotors too?

No, you shouldn't need to change rotors unless...

    1) You warped/bent your stock rotors so badly that they can't be straightened out.
    2) Your down to the minimum rotor thickness.
