Can you convert Hope 160 floating rotor to 183?

    Hello,
I purchased Hope Pink Tech v2 with floating flower rotors. It looks like I need larger rotors because the caliper is rubbing on the spokes. I don't want to get a new rotor and I also want to keep the pink inside part. Has anyone tried to just swap the outside part with a larger rotor size? is it even possible? It's looks like that the insides of the two piece rotors are the same. I could be wrong since I don't have two different rotors to compare.

    thanks.

You would have to get a new rotor and mount (for the caliper). No swapping of braking surface onto new carriers.

However, I would try to set your brake up properly first. At least try to tighten the caliper onto the mount decently, centering on the rotor and then see. Often problems occur when everything is still loose.

I am not saying it will definitely work, but I can't necessarily see why your configuration there would not be compatible, unless you are trying to run a 140 mm rotor on the front...

Install the caliper properly before you start swapping parts.
It is not even close to being setup in the pics.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

sorry for the miss representation of the picture. it was taken after I quit trying to troubleshoot. I did install properly. I just got a response back from Hope support. The suggest to trying to put shims between the the rotor and hub and then adjusting the caliper so it is centered over the rotor again.
