New question here. brakes rubbbing (noob)

I have Hayes GX-2s and the rear brake is rubbing. I haven't taken it on any rough rides. I'd rather try to do it myself than take it to the shop but I'm clueless. Any help is uber appreciated.

a little brake rub is very common, especially on hayes brakes. can you tell if the rotor is rubbing up against the pads or against the caliper? make sure the torx bolts on the rotor are tightened down. the rotor might also be bent slightly, you can usually bend the rotor back into place by hand but just be careful when doing this. another problem might be thta the caliper is not centered up evenly, you'll have to loosen the caliper and reposition it. if you have the correct tools you should be able to fix this by yourself.
