    Brake Problem???

My brake pads on my front tire randomly tightened up on my FS bike the other day so I tried to loosen them by turning a screw that I thought was the one that did that and instead it made a bad noise and all the brake fluid started to rush out... Now there is no brake pressure and they don't work at all. Did I brake them? How do I fix this?

The brakes are Hayes Hydraulic HFX-9 XC and they are on a Kona Dawg Deluxe.

Take it to a bike shop. They need to be bled.

There is no screw to set the pads further apart.

Please read the disc brake FAQ.

I can just bleed them myself with a bleed kit right?

Yes... but from what I've read, it may be beyond your skill level/knowledge.
