    brake conversion

I have shimano lx wheels with an xtr dual control up front and there lx in the back. I am getting ready to convert a 1x9 setup and need to lose the dual control up front what is my easiest route? or would it just be easier to just put on some new hayes carbon brakes on it?

you don't mention it, but assuming your running Shimano hydros with your dual controls (vs mech or v-brakes)...just replace the left lever with a Shimano hydro lever.

when you say lever do you mean just the part you use to apply pressure or do you mean that and the part that clamps onto the handle bars ?
