I'm putting together a Big Dummy and am about to pull the trigger on some Avid BB7s with 200mm rotors. Surly recommends the Gore Ride-On cables and housing but they aren't making them anymore. Any other options for low friction housings?
Another site mentioned 'housing compression' problems with the rear brake since the rear brake cable is so long - the Big Dummy requires a ~78" of cable for the rear brake and derailleur. Are some housings less susceptible to this compression when engaging the brakes?
Finally, do I have to order special cables (i.e. tandem) or will standard cables be long enough to reach the rear?
