    Brake Booster

    Hi

    I was just wounder if a set of brake booster will help improve the brake power of XTR V:s ?

    Depends on the frame or fork but in general, the booster will add more support for less flex and more power.

    The fork is a Manitou Mars and the frame is a OCLV HC

    Yeah but will I notice any difference?

    I'm considering the shimano carbon booster's or do you guy's recomend some thing else?

    Everybody that rides with any sort of canti post brake needs a brake booster. Brakes just don't work right without them.

    You will notice an enormous improvement no matter what frame or fork you ride.

    You don't need something as super-fancy as shimano carbon. Look at the selection at Webcyclery for some cheaper alternatives. I've got a Salsa, and it does the job.

    Maybe it's not a good reference but I can't recall to have seen any brake boost on the bike's they ride in the world cup or any other big events?

    (yes I know that alot of riders have switch to disc brakes now)
