    Brake bleed help?

I got the avid elixir brake bleed kit for my elixir 1's. I don't have a brake block. Any ideas of what I can use instead?

How about some cardboard? Use as many layers as it takes to get a snug fit. I would take the pads out and block in the pistons without them.

I'm surprised there wasn't one in the kit. A large hex wrench works. A stack of washers with tape. A block of wood. Anything that fits snug. During the bleed there is not much pressure to hold back, but you want the pistons fully retracted.

I used a piece of scrap PVC pipe cut to size.
Edit: 1" dia PVC fit perfectly
